About Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) Tours
Experience one of the world’s most advanced automotive plants and watch Alabama Team Members and amazing robots assemble Hyundai and Genesis vehicles.

You are invited to come watch the process of building over 1,500 Hyundai and Genesis vehicles each work day. After checking out the display vehicles in the showroom, you’ll watch a briefing and video before boarding the tour tram and putting on a headset and safety glasses. Your tour guide will drive you though the manufacturing plant and explain the many steps involved with making a vehicle. You’ll enjoy watching the technology, learning how it all works, and waving at our enthusiastic Alabama Team Members.

Cost: No Charge
Tour Days and Times: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m by reservation only. Tour reservations may be made up to six months in advance.
Evening Tour: Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m., by reservation only. (April through October)
Note: You must have a confirmed tour reservation before you can enter HMMA.
Tours may be cancelled or postponed on short notice, or without notice, for weather or other business-related issues.
Tour Information
Maximum Number of Visitors per tour | 16 |
Minimum Age | 6 years old with a parent or guardian |
School or Group Tours | Children must be in third grade or above. One adult for every 10 children must accompany the group and supervise children at all times. |
Length of Tour Experience | Approximately 75-90 minutes |
Dress | Dress appropriately for the weather. The tour route is both inside and outside. |
Tour Agenda | Please enjoy the new Hyundai vehicles and displays in the showroom prior to your tour. When your tour begins, you will watch a briefing and video before boarding the tour trams. Your tour guide will drive you through the plant while describing the manufacturing process as it happens. Tour guests must wear safety glasses during the tour and will listen to the tour guide on a headset. |
Photography | Photography is allowed while you are in the Visitor Center only. Once you have boarded the tour trams, photography is prohibited. |
Food or Drink | No food or drinks are available for purchase. Food and drinks are not permitted on the tour trams. |
Gift Shop | Open during tour times |
No tours are offered the week between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
